The pursuit of science in ecology helps us discover phenomena and to understand the patterns of which they (and we!) are a part. We are conscious of how interconnected the elements of our natural ecosystems are and how little we know about these connections.
Arkaba provides an environment already in recovery mode where scientists can engage in research, furthering the collective knowledge of the region and in turn supporting our efforts to regenerate Arkaba's landscape
Rabbits, Cats & Quolls

Arkaba is supporting a University of Tasmania project looking at the linkages between removing rabbits from the landscape and the repopulation and dispersal of Western Quolls.
Monitoring Ecosystem Health
Following the removal of sheep and the ongoing management of goats in the landscape, we have been monitoring the recovery of the landscape through surveys of vegetation communities and springs.
