Projects
Much of our day-to-day work to conserve biodiversity is taken up with 'hands on' land management just to give natural processes a chance to reassert themselves. However, to truly advance Arkaba's vision for biodiversity, our efforts are increasinbly focussed on proactive initiatives and projects to take this forward.

Western Quolls were reintroduced to Wilpena Pound in 2014 after being extinct in the region for over 100 years. With control of feral species, especially foxes, feral cats and rabbits, this project seeks to re-establish a sustainable population of quolls across Arkaba.
Vegetation Exclusion Zones (planned)
This (planned) project is part of a broader initiative to better understand the impact of large herbivores, including kangaroos, on native vegetation communities

Springs
Natural springs are a key indicator of a healthy environment. We monitor 17 springs across Arkaba to measure their health as part of our broader rewilding journey
