In the event there is a solo traveller wishing to stay at Arkaba there is a minimum twin-adult rate applied per night. In the event there is one adult and one child travelling the minimum twin-adult rate is also applied.
Arkaba accepts children 8 years and above. With only five rooms, the best way to experience Arkaba as a family is with an exclusive use stay, either with another family or on your own. Under this option, the guides will run bush immersion programs for the family that include species identification, tracking wildlife, setting camera traps for feral species, radio tracking feral species, orienteering in the bush, astronomy, learning how to toast the perfect marshmallow over the camp fire.
The rate includes meals, beverages (based on a select open bar), round trip transfers by road from Hawker and scheduled activites (4WD safaris, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, daily guiding).
Telephone calls, road/air transfers from Adelaide, optional scenic flights and items of a personal nature.

Pauline McKenzie reserves the right to cancel or vary Arkaba through Adnyamathanha Eyes shared cultural experience without notice.
Arkaba is open year round.

Check-in is available from 14:00
Check-out is required no later than 11:00
Guest rooms required for check-in prior to 2.00pm must be pre-booked from the day earlier.
Air Charters and Weight Restrictions
There is a general luggage weight restriction of 20kgs per passenger in soft bags to fit in the aircraft luggage compartments. This weight restriction is subject to the flight’s overall payload restriction. Although all care is taken, Arkaba does not accept responsibility for any expense incurred by a passenger as a result of any delay, alteration or mechanical failure with a charter aircraft.
If you have booked some of your flights directly with the airline or with a travel agency, please be sure to advise us of any flight changes (timings, numbers etc) and please be sure to check that your final itinerary has the details correctly noted. Wild Bush Luxury and Arkaba will not be responsible for transfers, accommodation, tour planning or for any travel arrangements that are effected by flights not booked and ticketed by our office.
Deposits and Payments
A 20% deposit is required within 7 days of confirming your booking. Full payment must be made 30 days prior to your arrival. For bookings made within 30 days, payment is required within 48 hours of booking.
Peak season deposit policy – ALL bookings over the Christmas / New Year (22 December – 6 January) and Easter periods (10 April – 13 April) must be secured with a non-refundable deposit of one night’s accommodation within seven days of reservation.
We understand now more than ever that, sometimes, plans change. If you cancel outside 30 days, we will provide a full refund less $50 administration fee and credit card merchant fees (if you have chosen to settle your deposit by credit card). Within 30 days of arrival, all monies are forfeited. However, if with the current COVID-19 pandemic and after medical advice state governments decide to apply quarantine conditions or close state borders and prohibit you from travelling within 30 days of travel, we would not impose full cancellation fees. We would invite you to join our Wild Bush Luxury experience at Arkaba at another time that suits your schedule.
As a small property, our business depends on maximising occupancy and cancellations often result in empty rooms due to booking lead times. For cancellations the following penalties apply;
Outside of 30 days monies will be refunded less a $50 admin fee and any credit card charges
Within 30 days prior to arrival all monies will be forfeited
No refunds will be given in the event of non-arrival, any unused services or unused nights due to flight or weather disruption
We strongly recommend guests protect themselves with travel insurance
While payments are refundable outside 30 days (less credit card merchant fees if you choose to settle your account using credit card). If medical advice informs government decision to close state borders and prohibit you from travelling, we would not impose full cancellation fees and would allow you to join us on your Wild Bush Luxury experience at the Arkaba Homestead another time.
Please Note: Cancellations must be advised in writing, facsimile or email and will take effect from the date they are received in our Sydney Reservations Office (see below).
Rates may be increased due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g fuel costs and National Park Fees or increased rates by third party operators). You will be notified of this in writing.
‘Force Majeure’ means (without restriction) any event which Arkaba could not, even with due care, foresee or avoid. Force Majeure covers events such as, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events beyond our control. In the case of Force Majeure Wild Bush Walks will not accept liability, and reserves the right to change and cancel trips.

Unforeseen circumstances may result in you having to change your plans or even cancel at the last minute. To protect non-refundable deposits and payments we STRONGLY recommend that all guests obtain travel insurance including a cancellation policy and emergency medical care. Travel insurance is available from travel agents, general insurance companies, some medical funds.
Please be sure to consider such things as pre-existing medical conditions, valuable items and that the policy is right for you.
